After defeating the Death Knight The Holy Cleanse moved onwards until they saw something Darrow recognised, The Gold Road! Between the crypts and the Gold Road, they encountered a party of Dwarves. They were Swisher’s Seven. The seven appeared in a hurry and made their pleasantries quickly.

Upon arrival at the sight of the Tree Of Elrahar Gold Road they found several Duergar and Steeders engaged with members of the Throne Warden. One of the Dwarves fell in battle and after victory was secured, was rushed towards Rockhome with Darrow Greataxe and company.

After retreating from the Death Knight the group rested for the rest of the day. Andamacar learned the Lightning Bolt spell from Khiara ‘Jenkins’.

The Holy Cleanse returned to the lower level under Castle Dragonswatch ruins with the intention of facing off against the Death Knight once more. They encountered some skeletons and montrous skeletons which they dispatched with ease. Upon hearing the death knight ahead they paused to cast spells and drink potions, to better their chances for the fearsome battle ahead.

Darrow Greataxe and Eleanora used healing spells on some of their comrades and the group moved on through the Castle Dragonswatch ruins. They encountered a group of Carrion Crawlers who tried to make a meal of them. Olgrim Battlehammer was frozen in place when one of the beasts paralyzed him but Andamacar cast a Web spell to entangle them and Khiara ‘Jenkins’ blasted them all dead with Lightning Bolt. With the crawling horrors dispatched they once again moved on through the crypts. An encounter with a Death Knight ended with the group running away from the undead abomination in fear, and retreating to the previous level of the ruins.

Olgrim Battlehammer and then Fargrim Battlehammer were both entangled by the Pseudo-cloakers but the party beat them with might and magic and the Dwarf brothers survived although a bit bruised.

Further into the crypts of Castle Dragonswatch, The Holy Cleanse encountered a group of Batwings. With some clever bottle-necking by the fighters and several blasts of Magic Missile by Khiara ‘Jenkins’ and Andamacar they defeated the abyssal monsters with ease. After they found their way down to a natural cavern network under the crypt where they stumbled upon some Pseudo-cloakers.

With Sninkinuck dead the rest of The Holy Cleanse had to continue through the ruins of Castle Dragonswatch a man down. But health was low and spells were spent so they were forced to rest. During their watches Fargrim Battlehammer and Olgrim Battlehammer fixed Eleanora‘s Holy Symbol, and Khiara ’Jenkins’ took counsel from Darrow Greataxe on spell selection.

The next day Darrow used his replenished divine magic to heal the party, and Eleanora with her newly repaired holy symbol joined in. Once healed up and with the Battlehammer brothers leading the way, they moved further into the crypts, and they fought and killed a Sto-roper in a room full of bones.

The Holy Cleanse assumed the body on the stone slab was a Mummy and set up for a fight. A 3rd Giant Skeleton joined the fray and one of them killed Sninkinuck with it’s Fireball attack. As well as killing Sninkinuck the Fireball destroyed some important items carried by the people it burned, including the Helm Of Comprehend Languages and Eleanora‘s Holy Symbol. Eleanora herself narrowly avoided death. After what was left of the group defeated the Giant Skeletons, Khiara ’Jenkins’ wrapped the remains of Sninkinuck’s body in her Scarf Of Everlasting Preservation and Darrow Greataxe healed Eleanora and cast Cure Disease on Olgrim Battlehammer.

Darrow Greataxe finally used his Augury spell to seek Barukthram’s guidance, just in time for a nice surprise and a message from Dick Hydra. Charlemagne and Eleanora got in a bit of trouble. Upon exploring further into the underground level Sninkinuck found himself facing 2 Giant Skeletons, and a strange stone tablet in a room.

The Holy Cleanse defeated the last of the Skeletons and Sninkinuck scouted out the rest of the ruins. They found a trap door in the room where the Owlbears were, opened it and saw the castle basement level. Sninkinuck went down to investigate and found himself facing a Ghoul.
